The piano recital program “Sonatas” features three most celebrated sonatas and a Rhapsody respectively composed by four of the greatest composer/pianists who ever lived: Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt and Sergei Prokofiev. Though there is more than a century between the compositions of these works, the images embedded in the music are depicting the same universal question of the inevitability of fate and the human attempts to fight against it.
